Safeguarding
Objectives of the service
The Safeguarding in Education Service:
- provides safeguarding training to education practitioners that equips them with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to carryout their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- provides bespoke training for staff working with children and young people to enable them to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children with whom they specifically work
- delivers separate safeguarding training courses for staff with different roles and levels of responsibilities in education settings
The Training provided by the Safeguarding in Education Team:
- is approved safeguarding training, having been quality assured by the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board
- is delivered by staff who have significant experience and knowledge of safeguarding and teaching
- is in line and accordance with local and national safeguarding procedures and guidance
