Loan collection: unlimited exchanges

• suitable for schools who wish to exchange their stock frequently
• most popular with primary and special schools
• choose the number of items you wish to have on loan (minimum 50)
• exchange your resources as often as you wish at no extra charge

Prices for 2020/2021-all prices subject to VAT

Cost:

• Primary schools - £5.97 per item
• Secondary schools - £6.08 per item

Loan collection: Standard service

This option will suit those schools who do not wish to exchange their loan collection stock frequently

• most popular with secondary schools
• choose the number of items you wish to have on loan (minimum 50)
• you will need to purchase Loan Collection: Exchanges separately for any items you wish to swap during the year

Cost:

• Primary schools - £3.23 per item
• Secondary schools - £3.40 per item

Loan Collection: Exchanges

Schools choosing the Loan Collection: Standard service option will need to purchase an Exchange for each item they wish to swap during the year.

Cost: £1.87 each

Book exchange visit by the mobile (for primary and special schools)

Our attractive Mobile Library can visit school to allow children to be involved in choosing reading materials. The books chosen are part of your Loan Collection allowance. Visits can be for one hour, a half-day or a full day. The mobile has approximately 2,500 books including picture, story and poetry titles as well as leisure and recreational non-fiction. (For one-hour visits schools will be able to exchange a maximum of 100 books).

Support for School Librarians (for secondary schools employing qualified librarians)

This package is designed to provide professional development and current awareness opportunities for school librarians. This includes regular meetings, INSET, updates on new resources, a current awareness newsletter and individual support as required.

Cost:      £525 per year

Two half hour sessions with 50 books left in school for one month       £100

Four half hour sessions with 100 books left in school for one month     £190

(The cost of a Mobile Library visit does not include resources.  The resources chosen are part of your Loan Collection allowance.  Please contact us for a quote if you would like 4 or more visits per year)

Additional Services

Developing your School Library

The Education Library Service offers schools access to specialist professional advice and practical support on all aspects of library and resource development. The service is tailored to your school's needs and can include guidance on policy formulation; planning and designing the library; assessing, classifying and editing the stock; identifying gaps in coverage; inset; and advice on library automation.

Please contact us for further information and discussion of your requirements - following your initial visit you will be given a quotation of any work required.

Initial visit: £78 per hour for Schools subscribing to the Loan Collection Services, otherwise £95 per hour.
